BIRDS OF PREY Heads Into Production

DC’s Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will begin prodution next week.

A video taken on the Warner Bros, lot shows production gearing up. The film continues the story of supervillain and former psychiatrist Harley Quinn that originated in 2016’s Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad was a financial success but a critical failure, holding a 28% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The character of Harley Quinn (as portrayed by Margot Robbie), however, is considered by many to be on the bright spots of the film.

Birds of Prey looks to expand the character with the addition of several other female characters from the DC universe, including Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), The Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), as well as a pair of male villains in the form of Black mask (Ewan McGregor) and Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina).

Birds of Prey is set to release on February 7, 2020
